    Run the installer. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info then Run anyway.

    Enter the server address

    The one the server host gave you, at the top of the sign-in screen. Its name shows up in green when it's right.

    Create your account

    An email address (only you can see it), a username, a password. Off you go, the others are waiting for you.

Questions people ask us

Is it really free?

Yes. The app and the server are free, with no ads, no subscription and no paid option. The only thing that may cost something is the machine hosting the server, if you pick a VPS.

Do I need to host a server to use Voxsen?

No: if a friend already hosts a server, just download the app and enter its address. And if you want your own, the kit installs in about ten minutes on Windows or Linux.

Which devices does the app run on?

The app is available for Windows 10 and 11. The server runs on Windows as well as Linux (VPS, mini PC, 64-bit Raspberry Pi 4/5).

How many people can join a server?

Around twenty people run smoothly on a machine with 2 GB of RAM. For more people or for 4K, plan a sturdier machine and a good upload speed.

Who can read our messages?

Nobody but you: everything is stored on your community's server. Even the admin log never contains the content of messages.

How do updates work?

The app checks for a new version by itself, installs it, then shows you what's new. The server kit can update itself too.
